As the Navajo Nation begins to lift restrictions for non-essential businesses, Navajo Arts and Crafts Enterprise “NACE” happily welcomes you back to our stores. We have implemented guidelines and procedures to safely re-open, which reflect CDC recommendations to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19. We understand that our guidelines and procedures aren’t what we are accustomed to, but our top priority is the health and safety of our employees, customers, vendors, and community. Let us update you on what we have implemented for the comfort and the safety of our employees and guests.

Installation of Plexiglass Guards – All NACE cash register stations, Account Receivable department, and Procurement department have plexiglass guards up to protect our employees, customers, and vendors. The plexiglass guards create a barrier between our employees and our guests to help mitigate the spread of germs.

Shopping by Appointment Only – All NACE stores will be scheduling appointments via phone. Customers may call to schedule an appointment. Customers will be allotted 45 minutes to shop and complete their transaction.

Limited Occupancy & Age Requirement – All NACE stores will have limited occupancy determined by the square footage of the building. All customers must be 14 years of age or older.

Social Distancing – All NACE stores will enforce social distancing at all times. All NACE employees and customers must maintain at least six feet apart between themselves and customers/employees while in line to enter the building, in line at Account Receivable, shopping, and in line at check out, which will be marked for you.

Face Masks & Gloves – All NACE employees and customers are required to wear face masks at all times. All NACE employees have been given cloth face masks to wear daily from the beginning to the end of their shift. All NACE stores are supplied with gloves. All NACE sales associates will be wearing gloves while they assist you. Customers are not required to wear gloves.

Hand Sanitizer – All NACE front door monitors will have hand sanitizer available for customers – after washing hands and before entering the building. All NACE Sales Associates will have hand sanitizer for customer use – before and after trying on or touching jewelry. Hand sanitizer meets CDC requirements.

Customer Temperature Screening – All customers are required to go through a temperature screening before entering the store. Temperature must be below 100.4⁰F. If the customer’s temperature is above 100.4⁰F, the door monitor will then wait and re-take the customer’s temperature a second time to see if their temperature has decreased. If the customer’s temperature does not come down below 100.4⁰F, they will not be permitted into our building.

Employee Temperature Screening – All NACE employees are required to go through a daily temperature screening at the beginning of their shift. Temperature must be below 100.4⁰F. If the employee’s temperature is above 100.4⁰F, the door monitor will then wait and re-take the employee’s temperature a second time to see if their temperature has decreased. If the employee’s temperature does not come down below 100.4⁰F, they will not be permitted into our building, and will be advised to see their healthcare provider.

Cleaning Protocols – All NACE stores are supplied with hand sanitizer and cleaning supplies to frequently wipe down and disinfect high touch surfaces throughout the day following CDC guidelines.

Closure of Fitting Rooms & Restrooms – All NACE fitting rooms and restrooms will be temporarily closed.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding during this challenging time. All guidelines and procedures have been thoughtfully implemented to protect you and our staff. We look forward to seeing you  soon!
