Description
This long, thin wooden needle is a tool to help weavers by sewing threads through the warps of a Navajo loom. The material used to create this tool out of hickory wood. Hickory wood qualities are exceptionally heavy, solid, sturdy, and flexible. The tip is not sharp but well rounded and flat, making it easy to get between the tight space. The loop (hole) is on the other end along with the hallmark, “MHD” carved.
